SQUAD. For tomorrow evenings' game, coach Jean-Luc Girard will have to wait until the very last minute before naming the exact starting line-up against Meaux. The main uncertainty is the participation of Jimmy Hamme who injured his ankle last weekend. The possibles: SUNDAYS' MEETING. Last Sunday before the game Red Star v Lusitanos, the Collectif des Amis supproters' group organised a public meeting with Red Stars' president Mr. Bruno Davoine. The meeting was chaired by supporters' club president Mr. Olivier Hercy. COACH NAMES SQUAD. TONIGHTS' BIG CUP TIE. Forget Chelski and Liverpool, this is THE big match tonight ! Red Star take on Arménienne in the Coupe de Paris, kick off 8-30pm at Stade Bauer. Both clubs are currently involved in struggles at opposite ends of the league table, so it is likely that the players on view will be fringe players and youngsters hoping to catch the eye of the respective first-team coaches. In the last round, for instance Loic Ghili scored for Red Star in the victory over JA Drancy. SANNOIS v RED STAR. Following the article published in Le Parisien on the incidents after the game at Sannois, Red Stars' Gang Green published a statement exercising their right to reply to the article. |

300 000 ! Todays, all being well, the French version of AllezRedStar.com should pass the 300 000 hits mark. What is more amazing is that at the start of the season 2004-2005 we had just passed the 200 000 point, so that makes an awful lot of interest in a Division Six (DH) club since the start of the season ! PIERRE POUYAUD.
THREE MATCHES. Vincent Fourneuf, Red Stars' influential defender has been handed a three match ban following his sending off at Sannois. UNDER 18s. A win over Brétigny 2-1 but the Under 18s are still eight points adrift of leaders ACBB who beat Les Lilas 3-2. Red Star do have a game in hand, though, and there are still four games left before the end of the season, including a real eight-pointer against their rivals from Boulogne. |

ITS OFFICIAL - WE'RE OFFICIAL !. During the meeting with the supporters held before the Lusitanos game on Sunday at Stade Bauer, club President M. Bruno Davoine announced that AllezRedStar.com and Red Star FC 93 have joined together in a partnership, which means that this site is effectively the official site of Red Star FC 93. We are proud to work with the club - now we can bring you even more exclusives, the club can express itself with a very popular mouthpiece. Of course we will keep the same high standards, boosted by input from the club and we will especially be focussing on the youth teams of Red Star. Please don't hesitate to give us your view etc : john@allezredstar.com.
Have no fear, the English version of the site will continue to exist, making Red Star FC 93 one of the most international clubs in France ! WHITE AND GREEN. As Lusitanos play in a green and red kit, Red Star played in white yesterday, with green shorts. Not quite as pretty as the usual kit, but at least it's green and white ! Incidentally, Red Star also played in white earlier this season in a Coupe de France match at Saint-Brice. Incidentally, if you'd like to buy a replica first-team shirt, these are now available in sizes L, XL & XXL at the bargain price of 50 euros plus post & packing. Contact us for details : john@allezredstar.com
REST. No training session this evening, but the schedule for the week has been modified slightly due to the game being played on Saturday evening. Don't forget that on Wednesday evening Red Star have a Coupe de Paris quarter final against Arméninenne, where coach Jean-Luc Girard will most likely give a run out to some of his fringe players as well as some of the clubs' youngsters. With Arménienne not yet sure of safety from relegation themselves, it is not sure that the visitors will field a full-strength side either. Why not pop along for the game, probably better entertainment that the stuff offered on TV that evening ! |

DH ROUND-UP. Le Mée Sports and Cosmo could only draw 1-1, thus seriously compromising their respective promotion hopes. Saint-Leu are back in the thick of things following their 5-0 thumping of Aubervilliers. Versailles slumped 1-5 at home to fast-recovering Orly, whereas also at the bottom Arménienne managed to take a point off Lusitanos in a 0-0 draw. Morangis-Chilly, one-time leaders failed at lanterne rouge club Brétigny 1-2 and Meaux also lost in a surprise 2-1 defeat at Evry. OH NO IT'S A RED CARD. Just after Ententes' Lybohy, Vincent Fourneuf also went to warm the water in the showers for his team mates. Vince will miss the next game. Meanwhile fellow central defender Nabile Yessad received a boot in the face at the end of the match and was taken to hospital as a precaution. ON THE BOX. Val d’Oise Television was on hand to record the game - normally highlights will be shown this evening on TV VO

VITAL CLASH. Okay, so all the matches up to the end of the season are vital, but Sundays' clash is a real eight-pointer; Red Star have a two-point advantage over their hosts Sannois-Saint-Gratien, and a win for the Green & Whites would extend this lead even further. Given that their two nearest rivals have relatively easy tasks on Sunday (Meaux play Evry and Morangis take on bottom club Brétigny), a win is vital to keep the pressure on. Previous trips to the Val d'Oise have been reasonably succesful (a win at Saint-Leu and a draw at Cosmo). Sannois might be sneaky and put one or two first teamers in the starting line-up, but the first XI are still in the running for promotion to L2. The evening before they travel to ex-Red Star man Yoann Delaneuvilles' Pau.
Earlier this season Red Star won 3-2 against the Entente at Bauer with goals from Franck Gueï and brace from Tandia against a Yessad own goal and Mavua. Pictured above are Tandia, N’Simba & Ouattara OFFICIALS. Pascal Mailly will be the match referee assisted by Yannick Ténési & Jean-Luc Duchêne. |

TRAINSPOTTERS' DELIGHT
SOME FIGURES. Following the home defeat to Cosmo, when it looked as if it was all over for another season, Red Star were some ten points behind then-leaders Meaux with a game in hand. Since January, Red Star have taken 25 pts, Sannois Saint-Gratien 23, Morangis-Chilly 19, Meaux 14, Le Mée Sports 11, Cosmo 11. Red Star and Sannois are the teams in form, and they meet on Sunday for a vital clash. Also the same day, Meaux are at home to strugglers Evry, Morangis-Chilly play a local derby against another struggling team Brétigny, Saint-Leu are at home to crisis-hit Aubervilliers whilst Mée Sports travel to Taverny to face Cosmo. THOSE TWO ALL-IMPORTANT GOALS
TOP OF THE TABLE. The last-gasp goal means that Red Star go top of the DH For the first time this season. Oddly enough, no-one realised this at the end of the match because the rumour going round was that Meaux had done Morangis 1-0. Two hours later (news travels slowly in the sixth level of French football) and the 0-0 draw was finally announced - Red Star had gone top. Jean-Luc Girard had stuck to the same squad that had thumped Versailles the weekend before, with the exception of KABA DIOMANDE in the place of soon-to-be-suspended Franck Gueï. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE AT HOME.... Red Star massed their away fans on Sunday, making noise throughout the game, making the extra man on the pitch for the players. Around a hundred turned out for the game - no other club in the DH is capable of such an away support. RESULTS. Saint-Leu - Sannois Saint-Gratien 0-1, Versailles - Lusitanos 0-3, Morangis-Chilly - Meaux 0-0, Orly - Le Mée Sports 1-0, Aubervilliers - Evry 1-2 & Cosmo - Brétigny 1-1 |

EN ROUTE FOR ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX. Red Star prepare for the importantant clash on Sunday at Issy-les-Moulineaux, a stadium reasonably easy to get to, being well served by RER, tram Métro and road, although parking around the ground is a bit difficult - you might have to walk a bit. Remember in the match earlier this season, Red Star beat Arménienne for the first time in the DH by 3-0, the goals coming from Kaba Diomande, Jimmy Hamme and goalscoring machine Aboubacar Tandia opened his scoring account for the club.
ALSO IN THE DH. Of course the main match in the DH this weekend takes place at Issy-les-Moulineaux, but elsewhere there is an equally important match taking place at Meaux where leaders Morangis-Chilly take on 2nd place Meaux. Just one point separates the two clubs. Elsewhere there is a Val d'Oise Derby between Saint-Leu (6th) and Sannois - Saint-Gratien (5th). Le Mée Sports (4th) have a tricky trip to Orly (11th). Versailles (10th) play Lusitanos (8th), Aubervilliers (9th) v Evry (13th) and Cosmo (7th) welcome Brétigny (14th). NOT THEM AGAIN !. As well as a championship meeting, Red Star also play the quarter finals of the Coupe de Paris against Arménienne. The match, which takes place at Bauer, must be played before the 27th of April. RESERVES. Red Stars' reserves target this season was to consolidate in the DHR as well as blooding new players in preparation for greater things. Both targets have been achieved, and now sixth in the table, with a game in hand, Francesco Scarattis' men aim to push further up the table. |

COUPE DE PARIS (seniors): The draw has been made for the quarter finals of the Coupe de Paris - Red Star have been drawn at home to.. ARMENIENNE. No doubt coach Jean-Luc Girard will rotate his squad and field some of the young prospects at the club. COUPE DE PARIS. Last night, in torrential rain, Red Stars' under 18s progressed through to the last eight of the Under 18s Coupe de Paris in beating Paris FC 3-2. Leading 2-0 at half time, Red Star went further ahead in the second half only to let Paris back into the tie with two goals, setting up the last twenty minutes or so for a classic cup encounter. A great atmosphere at Bauer, despite the poor conditions and Champions' League football on the TV, some hundred or so spectators turning out to cheer Red Stars' youngsters on. Several regulars to first-team games swelled the crowd, which is more than some clubs get for DH matches !

AUBERVILLIERS - MEAUX: THE DECISION. The Ligue de Paris have decided to punish both clubs following the pre-match incidents back in February. The mass punch-up between the players has led to the match being "lost" for both clubs, zero points awarded. The two clubs have decided to appeal against the decision (which might result in something worse....) Affair to be followed on AllezRedStar.com. WEEKEND SCORES ROUND-UP: DH. MORANGIS-CHILLY - AUBERVILLIERS 3-1 (1-0). Goals : Dia (17, 77), Diawara (60) - A. Youcef (68) VIDEO. On the site are two video clips from Sundays' game - the sending off of the Versailles goalkeepers and Bilal Hammamis' goal. |

SPRING IN HIS STEP.
JEAN-LUC GIRARD. Red Stars' coach admitted that the sending off of Versailles' goalie swung the game in Red Stars' favour, but it took Red Star some time to fully cash in on the situation. But after a while the players realised that the best thing to do was to shoot on sight, and this they did. Versailles, Thierry Bocquet, sportingly agreed that whilst the sending-off hampered affairs, Red Star were still a class above his honest outfit.
STATISTICS4, 5 and 6 - Red Star in their last three games at Bauer seem to score one more goal than in the previous game. Hopefully this will build a "fortress Bauer" syndrome, positive for Red Star and at the same time striking some trepidation into visiting teams. Incidentally, the last man to score four times in a game for Red Star was … Steve Marlet against Lorient, in D2 back on the 30th March 1996 - Red Star won 4-0. TABLE. 1. Morangis-Chilly 54 pts, 2. Meaux 53 pts, 3. Red Star 52 pts, 4. Le Mée Sports 50, 5. Sannois Saint-Gratien 50 pts, 6. Saint-Leu 50 pts, 7. Cosmo 46 pts, 8. Lusitanos 40 pts, 9. Aubervilliers 40 pts, 10. Versailles 39 pts, 11. Orly 38 pts, 12. Arménienne 38 pts, 13. Evry 33 pts (1 game in hand), 14 Brétigny 33 pts (1 game in hand). |

MEAUX MATCH SWITCH. In view of the number of matches to be played at the end of April / beginning of May at Stade Bauer, Saint-Ouen town council and Red Star FC 93 together with coach Jean-Luc Girard have decided to switch the Meaux game on the 1st of May to Stade Marville, La Courneuve. This is to give the pitch at Bauer a break from intensive usage. The match will take place at 8pm CET. A bus will be laid on for supporters to ferry fans to the temporary home, where Red Star played for three and a half seasons, as well as playing Paris FC reserves in a championship match last season. More information will appear on this site. |
