Once again, Red Star 93 lose on their travels, this time at the leaders Grenoble. Despite a defensive approach to the game, Red Star went behind to a penalty, after a foul on top striker Mickaël Dogbé. New signing Radojicic fires the ball home. Minutes later, and just as they did last week against Noisy-le-Sec, Red Star conceded a second goal and Radojicic followed up from a Sonko header half-saved by Jean-Marc Branger. Only Saci posed real threats to the home defence, but this was not enough to prevent the twelfth defeat of the season.
So the record for 2001 reads : four games playes (including the League Cup match), four defeats, and the only goals scored in that time was an own goal scored by a Noisy defender. The CFA looms on the horizon, nine points away from safety.
