UNLUCKY

Two minutes into injury time, and Red Star were hanging on to what would have been their third win of the season in the league. With their supporters seeing possibly the light at the end of the tunnel, catastrophe struck, and Stéphane Guitton equalised for the visitors. Agony in the dugout, and in the stand Pierre Repellini who had earlier been dismissed was gutted. Jean-Claude Bras held his head in his hands and the referee let the game go on. Finally, with seven or eight minutes of stoppage time having elapsed, referee Monsieur Huguenin awarded a free kick in favour of La Roche-sur-Yon. A badly lined-up wall visiting captain Christian Suire bent the ball into the Red Star goal. On the pitch Mickaël Natchimie collapsed, and Red Stars' last hopes of survival have probably gone for good.

After fourteen minutes and a good chance for Pizzo, Olivier Pacreu from a corner gave the lead to La Roche. Five minutes later and Orjubin nearly doubled the lead with a lob. Slowly but surely the Audoniens clawed their way back into the game, and Price Jolibois, watched by his father in the crowd beat Ardouin in the 31st minute to level the scores. The goal owed its existence to a great build up involving Hutteau, Saci and Ferhaoui. Score at the pause, 1-1.

Hakim Saci on the hour ended a solo move with a well-taken goal (2-1) and Red Star deservedly were in front, only to have the victory snatched away in the most cruellest of fashions.
