KEMAS DOUBLE AS RED STAR LABOUR

Khaled Kemas was Red Stars' hero as they came from two down to earn a draw at already relegated Dieppe on a sunny afternoon. The match did have an end of season feel to it, with the visitors having nothing to play for and the hosts looking to close one awful season and build for a new one.
After only a minutes' play proceedings were drawn to a halt following a clash of heads between Azzedine Benmesmoudi and a Dieppe player. The game resumed a couple of minutes later, with Red Star, playing into a strong wind dominating affairs. No real chances worth the name until on nineteen minutes a mix up in Red Stars' defence allowed Négrèche to beat Yoann Djidonou and open the scoring (1-0). Disappointment for the coaching staff of Red Star, who had hoped for better from experienced defenders. With the game settling into a fairly uninspiring midfield encounter, Dieppe hit the visitors with a second goal just before the break. Out wide on the left, with no challenge from Red Stars' defence, Calbou used the folowing breeze to his advantage, seeing Djidonou well advanced off his goal line to lob the Benin international goalkeeper with a sweetly struck shot that flew into the net (2-0).
At two-nil the odds appeared to be stacked against Red Star, but two minutes later Khaled KEMAS powered his way down the right hand side of the home defence before smashing a powerful drive past Boudet in the Dieppe goal (2-1). This proved to be a vital goal at a vital time. Red Star thus went in for the half time break just one goal in arrears, looking the better side and with the advantage of a following wind in the second half.
For the first two thirds of the second half Red Star were much better; on sixty eight minutes Khaled KEMAS drew the sides level, sticking a foot out to a defence-splitting through pass to route the ball into the Dieppe net past the onrushing Boudet (2-2). In the following minutes, the visitors had two gals ruled out through offside for Lefort and Ouattara. The last ten minutes or so belonged to Dieppe, but Red Stars' defence was organised enough to keep out the attackers and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. .
